VGW is honoured to announce its sponsorship of the People’s Choice category at the highly anticipated Women in Technology WA Inc. (WiTWA) Tech [+] Awards, scheduled for 8 November 2024. 

WiTWA, a not-for-profit organisation, has been a trailblazer in promoting diversity, inclusivity, and excellence in the technology sector for over 25 years. Its awards night stands as a pivotal platform for recognising, applauding and shining a light on the stories and knowledge of local women in tech roles.

The WiTWA People’s Choice award is an open category for all candidates who identify as a woman, inviting them to publish their profile and promote themselves to their communities. The winner is the individual who receives the most votes through an open public voting round. 

VGW’s Chief Technology Officer, Patrick Di Loreto, said that applauding the accomplishments of women in tech reflected VGW’s goal not only to inspire more women to launch a career in the industry, but also promote the benefits of diversity in teams for innovation. 

“We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of the WiTWA People’s Choice award, which is in line with our aim to nurture the talents of women in technology,” Patrick said.
